Festus Highway sign

Sign along I-55 Festus MO exit. Where I grew up. I was walking through a trailer park on the west side of the highway. The sign looked like some kind of ancient monument standing alone on a hill between a highway and a trailer park with telephone poles way too close. It was strange & silly and wonderfully monumental in a uniquely 21st century way. I actually caught myself as I chuckled out loud. I had to paint it. Oil on panel, signed lower right F.A.
