No Peace Without Beauty
Peaceful, oil & encaustic on panel, 32 x 20, 2007. These trees are actually not far from the 'miracle tree' on highway 87 about five miles south of Glasgow MO. The grass was burned dry form the drought and the deep rooted trees were begining to show sign's of suffering. Still it was a beautiful day, and the trees are deep rooted oaks, so they'll be fine. I never cease to be amazed by the ordinary toughness of nature.
