XPost: Cross posting is an internet term for posting the same message on several websites. My friends and I have found it is also a handy term for our era, as in after Post-Modern and/or Contemporary.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Working on a complete set of figurative Stations of the Cross is quite a challenge. The art history, not to mention History, makes for a daunting chorus of voices in the background.

SHOULD I BURN IT
YOU DECIDE: Paintings which have sat around the studio or in gallery back rooms too long. Should I burn them or keep them? falsbach@sbcglobal.net

Basically, I work in several styles, I do what seems interesting at the time, I don't think about what may or may not be consistent with what I've done recently. Sometimes I actually try to keep each style in it's own series so that it's not too crazy, but that impulse never lasts long.  Art Historians, Galleries & Museums hate it it when artists do this sort of thing.  They want a clear signature style... Hmmmm wonder which decent artist has ever excelled at doing what they are told?  Off of the top of my head... I can't think of any.  I can think of many artist who turned out painting after painting all closely related... seems to me that they often ended up self destructing.  No thank you.  I'd rather struggle to make my own path rather than follow another's.
